Single direction Thrust Ball Bearings comprise shaft locating washers, housing locating washers as well as ball and cage assemblies. They can only support axial forces but must not be subjected to radial loads. They can be dismantled, that allows separate mounting of shaft, cage and housing. Due to centrifugal force, balls try to leave the raceway; therefore a minimum axial load is always required.
Generally the series 511, 512, 513 are available.
IBC Thrust Ball Bearings are available with normal tolerances PN, as well as high precision P5, P4 according to DIN 620, part 3.
